Vatican Denounces Gay Marriage

OK, so the Pope is again terrified of the gays getting married. What's better is he knows he can make lots of money by terrifying other people. What a good Christian! Is he a puppet of the Family Research Council or something? What's the deal? Shouldn't he be more concerned with war and poverty? Apparently he has no idea what a family is, or what it means to be a family.

Bush rejects gay marriage

Did a gay man propose to George W? OH MY GOD! Given Bush's reaction you'd think so. What issue does he has with gay marriage? I often think those that protest too much have sexual identity issues themselves, but in this case I certainly hope not. Bush has already made me ashamed to be an American - it would make me even more angry to have him make me ashamed to be gay.

I've been reading a lot tonight and the past month or so about Howard Dean. I'm not certain I agree with everything he's said about gay marriage, but I respect him for what he's trying to do. I'm moved by his optimism whereas Bush has made me angry beyond comprehension. Bush has no place as leader of the free world saying things like "Yeah, I'm mindful that we're all sinners" and "I think it's very important for our society to respect each individual, to welcome those with good hearts, to be a welcoming country" while at the same time being a hypocritical moron. I hope with all of my being that Bush doesn't get re-elected. I hope that Howard Dean stands enough of a chance that he will make it all the way. I want to be proud to be an American again.
