too much gas
I went to the gas station today to fill up the gas container for the lawn mower. While I pumped gas into my little gas can, a man was pumping gas into a very large Dodge truck. I went in to pay for my 4 gallons and the attendant and I were talking about how painful that fill-up must be for him. She counted as the meter climbed... $66....$67....$68.... Can you imagine putting almost $70 into your car to tank up? I thought $25 was bad!
My truck, has a main 35 gallon tank, and a bed mounted tank that holds 50 gallons, for 85 gallons total. It gets 17 mpg on diesel fuel. At $2.65 per gallon, to fill up and drive the 1445 miles from full tank to empty, it costs $225.25 just to fill up. This is a personal, regular Pick Up Dodge Truck. . .. .
Wow, Richard, I thought only lesbians could hold that much gas.
