28 MPG!!!
I'm irritated by some of the recent car commercials. Of course they're all playing on high gas prices, and they're bragging about how many of their cars get good mileage. Some of them brag about their "great" fuel mileage when it's actually just decent. I saw a commercial tonight for the Buick Lacerne that stated that it gets 28mpg on the highway. Is that good? Maybe it was in 1980...
I'm just saying that car companies don't seem to have made many strides in the fuel economy arena in the past few decades. Even some hybrid cars don't get spectacular mileage. In 1994 I bought a car that got almost 40mpg consistently. Over 10 years later, most cars on the road don't get that much out of a tank. Is it just me that finds that .. odd?
