Have you ever seen the TV show called "It Takes a Thief?" I don't think new episodes are airing, but it's still on Discovery. Anyway, when I first watched it the show freaked me out. I couldn't believe how fast someone could take so much stuff! So I thought at that point it might be good to add some security. J installed a deadbolt.
Then the other day I saw in the local paper that a person just down the street had a $3000 plasma TV stolen from his house. So now I'm obsessing and I spent the evening looking at home security systems. Lots of options out there. I also found some lovely home inventory software. Now I'm getting crazy about this. Window and door sensors, motion detectors, cameras, ball busters, and electronic guillotines. Our home will be like Fort Knox by the time I'm done.

you're making me paranoid. we already have deadbolts installed but most of the time i forget to lock them. i'm bad. now i'm going to have to really make sure to lock it.
